THE GOOD FOOD BOX PROGRAM

The Good Food Box Program is a non-profit group that is learning to run a small business.

We sell fresh fruits and vegetables at a reduced price.   We take orders all month, and then, when the produce arrives, we sort and pack the produce into small and large boxes.  Clients can order a small box for $12 and a large box for $22.  Once the produce is sorted, the clients come to the Pavillion where they can pick up their order.  We also deliver if pick-up is not possible, i.e. if someone is at work.

Once a month, we set up at the pavilion to organize the produce and divide it into crates according to how many orders we have.  The purchasers come between 1:00 and 3:00 pm to pick up their order.  They need to bring a bag or two as we don’t hand out our crates.  That’s an important thing to be mentioned.  “Don’t forget your bags!”
