Meanwhile in an attempt to shore up their pitching the Jays acquired Francisco Liriano from the Pirates in exchange for Drew Hutchison. Two other deals saw the Jays trade Jesse Chavez and Guadalupe Chavez for Mike Bolsinger and Scott Feldman.
