Parmesan fries with a dip, and a shredded barbecue chicken slider are two of the appetizers available in this year’s Iroquois Falls Food Hop.
The Chamber of Commerce-organized event runs from 11:00am until 2:00pm this Friday.
Five local restaurants are participating. Marketing coordinator Danielle Rowan says each of them will offer a $5.00 appetizer. Once you’ve tried them, you vote online for your favourite.
“This is an event to help promote our local businesses, promote our local restaurants and really get our community out there,” says Rowan, “celebrating and enjoying the food that we have to offer in this town.”
At the last of the five restaurants you visit, you can use a QR code to vote.
“If you’re at the food hop stop and you’ve visited all of them,” explains Rowan, “you can just scan the code and it’ll bring you right to the survey.”
