Cochrane Public Library not ready to move into Stage 3 yet, according to CEO

Stage 3 means that public libraries in Ontario can reopen to the public.  But Cochrane Library CEO Christina Blazecka says not quite yet.

“The library will open in Stage 3 at some time,” she’s quick to add. “However, the board needs to meet first in order to discuss the possibilities and what would be the best way to handle it.”

Blazecka says that should all be accomplished by the end of the month. She says she wants to make patrons and staff feel safe and comfortable.

“The library is an environment of welcoming and relaxation and enjoyment. So we want to try to keep that atmosphere going.”

In the meantime, Blazecka says delivery curbside pick-up are still available.  Staff are at the library Monday to Friday from nine until five to take reservations for books and other material, and help you with card renewal and that sort of services.
