The Montreal Impact hung on for a 3-2 win over Toronto FC in the opening game of the MLS Eastern Conference final last night. Montreal will take a one-goal lead into the second leg of the two-game, total goals series on Nov. 30th at BMO Field.
The Carolina Hurricanes edged the Toronto Maple Leafs 2-1 last night, Jake Gardiner scored for Toronto. Elsewhere the Ottawa Senators came from behind to beat the Montreal Canadiens 4-3, the Islanders used overtime for a 3-2 win over Anaheim, St Louis doubled Boston 4-2 and Philadelphia beat Florida 3-1.
