If you are looking at a great way to get into the holiday spirit then bring the family to the Cochrane Santa Claus Parade this Thursday night. Recreation Supervisor Chantal Joanis says there are already 20 organizations registered for the parade.
“People are getting so wound up it’s so nice to see,” she said. “The spirit is there. We’ve got floats and people who have never registered before that are new to the event. So it’s gonna be very exciting.”
The parade forms up at 5 pm and starts at 6 pm. It will end near Lake Commando.
“After the parade we will be heading out to the Pavilion, where we will have our fireworks, Santa Claus into the pavilion giving out gifts to the kids,” she said. “We’ll also have hot chocolate for the kids.”
There will be a Christmas Farmer’s Market from 4 to 8 pm plus food and refreshments.
