Timmins is by far the largest community in Porcupine Health Unit territory, so it figures that it would have the most cases of COVID-19. In fact, all seven of the new cases reported today are in the city.
PHU says one is the result of “community exposure” — without specifying exactly where — and the other six were exposed to earlier reported cases. They’re all in self-isolation.
That brings the total to 159 in the region. Twenty-eight of them were diagnosed since New Year’s.
