Anyone wanting to take a driver’s test in Cochrane has been having to go to Timmins or Kapuskasing lately… and it’s not clear how long that situation will last.
My Cochrane Now Dot Com asked Timiskaming-Cochrane MPP John Vanthof’s office why the testing centre at the Board of Trade building hasn’t reopened. It checked with the Ministry of Transportation, and was told that won’t happen until there’s staff at the full time Driver Test Centre in Timmins available to travel to Cochrane.
So the Cochrane service is listed as “closed until further notice”.
