A Northern Ontario man’s summer is getting that much better.

Iroquois Falls resident David McEwan is $100,000 wealthier following a winning ticket with the most recent ENCORE numbers this past week.

McEwan was caught off guard by his win, saying that he usually doesn’t get around to checking his tickets all that regularly, but on this day he had one with six out of seven numbers correct.

The day of his win he went into his local corner store to scan his left over tickets while his wife waited for him outside in the car, he had no idea he would be a big winner.

Word has spread through the town of Iroquois Falls quickly since his lottery win.

McEwan meanwhile is busy trying to sort out how to use the prize money which he says will be shared with his children and grandchildren.

His winning lottery ticket was purchased in Timmins.
