(NHL) Free agent Alexander Radulov signed a $31.25 million, five-year deal with the Dallas Stars. The former Montreal Canadien had 18 goals and 36 assists for 54 points last season with the Habs. The Canadiens meanwhile have signed veteran Ales Hemsky to a one year deal.
(Wimbeldon) Canadian Eugenie Bouchard fell to Spain’s Carla Suarez-Navarro in the opening round at Wimbledon. It’s Bouchard’s ninth round one loss of 2017. Meanwhile fellow Canadian Francoise Abanda advanced to the second round with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Japan’s Kurumi Nara. On the men’s side Milos Raonic will play his first round match later today against Jan Lennard Struff of Germany.
