As the temperature starts to rise so does the chance for fires in the local area.
That is according to Kapuskasing Fire Chief Pat Kennedy, who says that practicing good fire safety in the summer includes awareness and preparation.
He says that if you are having a fire on your property, or out in the bush, always keep a close watch.
Kennedy says if your fire ever gets out of control, do not hesitate to call the fire department as fast as you can, so they can limit the damage. Go HERE for more on fire safety.
