(MLB)  The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Cleveland Indians 4-2 last night. Marcus Stroman threw six shutout innings and Ryan Goins hit a two-run homer for the Jays. Edwin Encarnacion (in-car-nass-ee-on) returned to Toronto for the first time as a Cleveland Indian and received a standing ovation from the Rogers Centre crowd.

(NHL)  The Washington Capitals beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2 last night to force a Game 7 in their Eastern Conference semifinal. This is the fourth time the two teams will meet in a winner-take-all game.

(WHC)  Team Canada’ shut out Belarus 6-0 win at the world hockey championship yesterday. Canada’s Calvin Pickard picked up his first shutout with 13 saves.

(NBA)  The Golden State Warriors thumped Utah 121-95 last night to sweep the Jazz 4 games to none in their Western Conference semi-final
