In May, Kapuskasing will be host a suicide prevention workshop.
The Porcupine Health Unit will be hosting a free public workshop for ages 15 and up titled safeTALK on Wednesday, May 17th from 1:00-4:00pm.
Porcupine Health Unit Public Health Nurse Joanne Bennett says the purpose of the workshop is to increase the community’s comfort in talking about suicide.
Bennett says the workshop will help people to better recognize the warning signs related to suicidal thoughts.
Registration for the workshop is free and must be done prior to the Tuesday, May 9th deadline.
