The National Day of Mourning is a chance to revisit current Kapuskasing labour health and safety regulations.

Taking place on April 28th, the day is a chance to remember lives lost due to work related incidents.

Dan Browne of Kapuskasing’s District Labour Council says the council wants to use the opportunity to educate the community on their labour rights.

Browne says the focus of the event is on health and safety.

Browne says the labour council will continue their efforts in trying to improve labour regulations for workers in Kapuskasing.
