(NHL)   Last night in the NHL, the Montreal Canadiens skated to a 3-1 win over the New York Rangers in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference quarter-final series last night. Montreal leads the best-of-seven set 2-1. Elsewhere the Edmonton Oilers blanked the San Jose Sharks 1-0 to take a 2-1 lead in their series,  Pittsburgh needed overtime for a 5-4 win over Columbus, the Pens have a 3-0 lead in that series and St Louis also has a 3-0 lead in their series after beating Minnesota 3-1.
 
(NBA)  In the NBA playoffs last night, Washington beat Atlanta 114-107 to take a 1-0 series lead, Golden State ran to a 121-109 win over Portland. Chicago surprised Boston 106-102 and Houston thumped Oklahoma City 118-87.
 
(MLB)  Things aren’t getting any better for the Toronto Blue Jays, they got hammered 11-4 by the Baltimore Orioles yesterday and also lost a couple of pitchers. Jay Happ left the game in the 5th inning with left elbow soreness and will get an MRI today and before the game Aaron Sanchez was put on the DL after he developed a blister on his right middle finger. The Jays have the day off today.
