A Kirkland Lake area man is dead after his snowmobile collided with another sled near Kirkland Lake.

The victim was 60-years old. The crash took place on a trail not far from Kirkland Lake.

Investigators say both snowmobiles were approaching each other early afternoon Sunday. The driver of the second sled is being treated for non-life threatening injuries in Sudbury.
