More and more people are struggling to make ends meet and are being forced to use services offered by the food bank. A report from the Ontario Association of Food Banks shows hundreds of thousands of people across the province are having a hard time paying their bills forcing them to go to the food bank. Timmins-James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson says hydro is an issue, but there could also be a bigger problem here that needs to be addressed.  Bisson says on the benefits side there needs to be increases so people can keep up with inflation and he adds this is why he’s looking into ways that people along the James Bay coast can grow their own food hydroponically over the winter months.
