If you or someone you know is between 65 and 70 years old there’s some important news. The province is making the shingles vaccine available free for everyone between that age. Health Minister Dr. Eric Hoskins says shingles can be debilitating.  The vaccine has been found to be most effective among those aged 65-to-70 which means up to 850,000 seniors are eligible for the free vaccine. It’s the latest addition to Ontario’s publicly funded immunization program.
