Marco Estrada took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and Edwin Encarnacion hit his 41st home run as Toronto pulled even with Baltimore for the first wild-card spot. Both teams are 2 1/2 games ahead of Detroit and three ahead of Seattle and Houston.
In World Cup action yesterday Team Russia came back and then hung on for a 4-3 win over Team North America. In the early game Team Europe needed overtime to edge the Czech Republic 3-2.
Carson Wentz threw for 190 yards and a touchdown as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Chicago Bears 29-14 in the NFL Monday nighter. Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler left the game in the 3rd quarter with a thumb injury and did not return.
