The Cochrane Board of Trade is hosting a Denim and Diamonds Fundraiser for Chimo. The money raised will be going towards replacing the bear at the entrance of the town. The plan is to replace it with a larger hand carved bear with 1000 year old cedar from BC. The new bear would be designed by Dan Ritchie a former resident of Cochrane. The Denim & Diamonds event is taking place October 1 st at the Cochrane Curling Club. Tickets are $40 dollars in advance or $50 at the door if there’s any left.
