The federal Conservatives’ interim leader has a warning for communities dependent on mining. Rona Ambrose says the Trudeau Liberals may get rid of the flow-through shares program next year. That’s the program junior mining companies use to raise exploration money that generates tax credits. Ambrose says cancelling the program would reduce mining exploration and believes it could also affect the Ring of Fire development. Ambrose raised the concerns while in Sudbury and is encouraging chambers of commerce to mobilize now.
