It was another “I don’t believe you” moment when Heidi Etzel got a call from the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation, telling her that she and five friends won the July 50-50 draw.
They split $123,978. That’s $20,663 each. And don’t forget: lottery winnings in Canada are not taxed.
Etzel says the equipment bought for the hospital through proceeds of the monthly draw have a great impact on the hospital.
