Storm nominated for two Chamber of Commerce business awards

Ask anyone involved in the operations of the former Cochrane Crunch of the NOJHL: moving to Iroquois Falls and becoming the Storm has been a great thing.

Operations and communications manager Gina Nickolau says proof of that is in two nominations for Iroquois Falls Chamber of Commerce business awards.  One is for business communication to the community; the other for innovation.

“The votes are from March 3rd to the 22nd and they (the awards) are going to be announced at the Iroquois Falls Chamber of Commerce annual general meeting on April the 6th,” says Nickolau.

She adds that the nominations speak volumes for the remarkable contributions of a lot of people, doing a lot of work that a lot of other people don’t see.

“From players to GMs and coaches, volunteers, staff, people that just do things without being asked. Even billet families and families along and the players getting out into the community.”

Voting is on the Iroquois Falls Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
