Help wanted sign goes out at job fair

There are jobs out there. You might find one that suits you next Thursday, May 25th at the Commando Pavilion in Cochrane.

The Board of Trade is hosting a job fair from 2:00pm until 8:00pm that day.

President Frank Louvelle says there are more than two-hundred positions available in areas such as mining, social services, transportation and construction.

“Bring your résumé,” he advises. “Come with an open mind and be willing to see what’s out there. There’s also educational opportunities for people that they may not be aware of.”

Louvelle says employers are from Cochrane, Timmins and Iroquois Falls.  So anyone who lives in the region can come armed with copies of their résumé.

“There’s opportunities all over, so we welcome our neighbours from the local communities to come and attend.”

Admission is free, although a non-perishable food item for the food bank will be accepted.
