Monteith Rd. almost set to reopen

By the end of the week, you’ll be able to drive between Iroquois Falls and Monteith without going around by Hwy. 11.

Iroquois Falls public works director Joel Cyr says one lane will be open around the road collapse, under the guardrail beside the Driftwood River, for light vehicles only. The road has been closed between Moffat Rd. and Railway Ave. in Monteith since late May.

There will be a temporary traffic light in place. Thursday morning is the new target for the road to open.
