Two sisters who were both Confederation of Regions Party candidates in June’s provincial election are facing criminal harassment charges by Ontario Provincial Police.
The investigation stems from ongoing social-media harassment incidents between July and September of this year.
Forty-nine-year-old Nadia Sadiq who ran for the Timmins riding is facing three charges of defamation known to be false, two charges of criminal harassment and one charge of mischief.
Fifty-one year old Fauzia Sadiq, who ran in the riding of Mushkegowuk-James Bay, is facing two charges of mischief and one of defamation known to be false.
Both women live in Val Rita.
