Crunch offers free hockey skills training

Cochrane Minor Hockey Association members have a chance for some high-level skills training next month, and it won’t cost them a dime.

The junior team in town – the Cochrane Crunch – is offering a four-day skills training camp from August 23rd to 26th. As marketing and communication manager Gina Nickolau (nick-oh-LOW, rhymes with COW) points out, it’s the first since the pandemic.

“It’s free to everybody in Cochrane Minor Hockey,” she says. “As long as your are going to be registered, or you are registered with Cochrane Minor Hockey, it’s free”

Instruction will be handled by coaching staff and players from the Crunch.  Nickolau adds that classes will be divided by age and skill level.

“So the boys can get a little bit more one-on-one and age-appropriate and level-appropriate training to help them into their season.”

Spots are filling up fast.  Registration details are on the Cochrane Minor Hockey Facebook page.
