The Dallas Cowboys lost both their game and their quarterback yesterday. Tony Romo broke his collarbone and is done for the season and the Carolina Panthers beat the Cowboys 33-14. Elsewhere the Chicago Bears upset the Green Bay Packers  17-13, and the Detroit Lions crushed the Philadelphia Eagles 45-14.
IN CFL news Henry Burris was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player at the league’s awards banquet. The Ottawa Redblacks quarterback received 71-of-75 first-place ballots in voting by the Football Reporters of Canada.
And in their history-making first game ever, the Cochrane Crunch and the Timmins Rock went head to head last night at the Tim Horton Event Centre. Â The game was hard fought, with Timmins coming out ahead 4-3.
