The Northeast OPP is making sure children are being better protected by internet threats. Police say internet threats are not something to be taken lightly; it can lead to instances of cyber bullying either anonymously or more personally over social media. The OPP says parents should take the initiative in protecting their children from potential exploitation or criminal activity. Police say parents can monitor the sites young children are visiting, remind them to keep their passwords safe and be sure who their children are interacting with online. On November 20th at St. Patrick’s School in Kapuskasing, there will be a gathering addressing both physical and online bullying.
