PHU broadens eligibility to use up unfilled vaccination clinic spots

There are some available spots at some COVID-19 vaccination clinics this week, so the Porcupine Health Unit has broadened the category of who’s eligible.

The spots are at the clinic in Iroquois Falls tomorrow (Wed.) between10:00am and 2:00pm at the community centre – that’s the former Local 90 Hall – and at the Commando Pavilion in Cochrane on Thursday from 10:00am until 2:00pm.  You need to book online or by calling the health unit.

Eligible for the shot are staff and essential caregivers at long-term care homes, retirement homes and First Nation elder care; what are considered “highest, very high and high priority health care workers; adult chronic homecare recipients; anyone 80 or older; and anyone over 18 who identifies as First Nation, Metis or Inuit.
