Curbside pick-up nothing new to Cochrane business clobbered by snow last year

Real, visible progress is being made on repairs to the Brisson Castle Building and Living Centre in Cochrane.  Part of the roof collapsed under an unprecedented snow load in February, 2019.

The roof replacement is well underway, and general manager Keven Robin expects the building to be closed in over the next couple weeks.

Meanwhile, he agrees that COVID-19 style curbside pick-up is nothing new to his staff.

“No, it’s not,” he chuckles.  “We’ve been doing this for 15 months now, so kind of became the experts at it.”

Robin has advice for any other retailer just embarking on curbside pick-up. He calls it “the new reality”.

“Be patient and just remember not to take anything personal.  You can only do so much in a day and most customers understand that.”

Physical distancing brought about by the pandemic has put the rebuilding project behind.  Robin expects to open the store in late July or early August.
