All this week, you can help the Cochrane Lions Club by buying a Smile cookie at Tim Hortons in town.
You pay a buck, and a buck goes to the club.
Smile campaign chair for the Lions, Theresa Tremblay, says the club was offered the proceeds from cookie sales all this week.
“We thought it was a good opportunity for us to build up our administration account so that we could upgrade our equipment for our Lions TV Bingo or whatever the case may be,” says Tremblay. “Anywhere else that the funds may be needed.”

“Being that it’s our first year, I’d like to see us between the four- and five-thousand-dollar mark. I’d be happy with that.”
