Real Estate Boom in Cochrane

It seems that there is some positive news on the real estate front in Cochrane. The encouraging news comes from the town’s protective services department that says renovation and construction expenditures were up last year totalling more than $7.3 million up from the previous year. Property values have increased on average from $160,000 to $183,000 in town. Seasonal rural homes are now selling for an average of $129,000. Mayor Peter Politis sees the numbers as a positive, while others still aren’t sure.
