The event is called the “Sports and Trade Show”, but it’s more than just that, next weekend in Iroquois Falls.
This is the 28th year that the local Knights of Columbus have organized the show.
Co-chair Rick Charlebois says there are fresh vegetables and meat available… among the sports and retail oriented exhibitors at the Jus Jordan Arena and curling rink.
“This year, we’re very pleased with the result,” he remarks. “So far we’re practically at maximum capacity for the number of possible exhibitors. We’ve got something for everybody.”
All the money the KCs raise at the show is used for charities and events they support.
“The great majority of the profits go right back into the community in Iroquois Falls,” Charlebois states. “Most of it happens when we do our slice of the pie event, usually in August.”
The Sports and Trade Show is Friday, May 3rd from 5:00pm until 9:00pm, and Saturday the 4th from 10:00am until 5:00pm.
