Winter and electronic wheelchairs and scooters are the topic of discussion this winter. Kapuskasing OPP’s Staff Sergeant Baldo Nuccio says that although these mobility devices are for those with special needs there are rules when it comes to being on the roads. Nuccio says that they are to be treated as if they were pedestrians and are to use the sidewalks. In the winter that could pose a problem and as such they can be driven on the roadway but they must be driven facing traffic.
