Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is coming to the region this week.
The Timmins-James Bay Liberal Association says Trudeau is touring the region and will be stopping at an association barbecue in Timmins on Wednesday. Riding Chair Sonia Migneault says he hasn’t been here yet and he did promise in his campaign that he would visit every riding in the country. “His main goal is to visit the community.”
Migneault says there will be an announcement made at the barbecue, “but my understanding of the announcement is that it does not have to do with funding or anything, it’s just going to be a general announcement.”
The barbecue will be set up at the Mountjoy Historical Conservation Area from 4:30pm to 7:30pm on Wednesday. Anyone wanting to attend will have to RSVP to the event. Click here for more information and to RSVP.
