Sausages will be used to raise some money this weekend.
The Cochrane Farmers Market will be hosting a Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser. The market will be selling sausages on a bun for $3 each, with an additional 50 cents for special toppings like:
- corn salsa fresca
- caramelized onions
- Thai peanut slaw
- Mexican Queso with pickled jalapeños
The market says regular ketchup, mustard and relish toppings will be on the house.
All the funds will be used to develop and support more events and recreation in town like Live at the Lakeside.
The market says the fundraiser will run throughout Saturday’s set up. It says it will run past the normal 12:00pm close so everyone can support the initiative.
