t’s time to make sure the numbers on your house are clearly visible from the road.
The Timmins Police Service Youth in Policing Team says you should make sure that your house numbers are in good shape, not blocked by any trees or plants and visible to all. Communications Coordinator Marc Depatie says this is important for any emergency crews working in your neighbourhood.
Depatie says time is of the escence when there is an emergency and emergency crews shouldn’t use their time looking for the house numbers. He says it is especially a problem with back houses. He says back houses should have numbers visible from the main street just like the main building.
Depatie says you need to follow the bylaw so emergency personal don’t waste time searching for you in a time of need.
