Kashechewan evacuees are arriving today in Smooth Rock Falls.
139 residents will be arriving to be lodged at local hotels within the town.
The First Nation community has evacuated its home after declaring an emergency due to a high risk of flooding on the Albany River back on April 23rd.
Currently, Smooth Rock Falls is working with local partners and service providers to sort out how to best service the incoming evacuees.
