Cochrane Summerfest will be back for an eleventh year, August 9th, 10th and 11th, and chair Roxanne Desroches is excited about an added attraction that she’s been dreaming of for the six years she’s been on the committee.
“We will be featuring this year a 50-foot Ferris wheel that will be overlooking the lake,” she enthuses.

Desroches says being that high will give you a great view of Lake Commando and the entire town. The bonus: rides on the Ferris wheel and the rest of the fun things are covered by your entrance fee to Summerfest.
“On top of that,” Desroches adds, “we have a fantastic musical line-up; we are bringing back the zip line; we have some axe-throwing; we have the show and shine, which is actually the fifth annual show and shine; as well as the mud bog on the Sunday.”
The show and shine is for cars, monster trucks and motorcycles.
