The Globe and Mail is reporting what a road will cost to the Ring of Fire. The all-season road would cost a minimum 264-million dollars to a maximum of 559-milllion dollars. A major reason why the cost varies is based on whether the road would be paved. The federal and provincial governments paid for the 785-thousand dollar study. Four First Nations in the Ring of Fire region carried out the study but its results were not made public even though the report was finished in June.
