The new parking meters around Kapuskasing have been saving the town money. The meters which were installed back in May run on solar power instead of batteries. There was a month grace period for parking for residents to get used to the new change. Deputy Fire Chief Pat Kennedy says the new meters require far less maintenance and this will save the town significantly.
