Cochrane Early-On Centre moving into public library

The Cochrane Early-On Centre is temporarily closed until September so they can relocate to the Public Library. Cochrane District Services Board Children’s director Shannon Costello says DSAB will now act as the primary operator of the program that will be a boost to the community’s economy, allowing more spaces for those who need it.

“We will be opening the child care spaces as soon as possible The Cochrane Childcare will be in charge of that instruction and the waiting list calling for those spaces once it is completed.”

Costello says the early on centre hasn’t been running at full capacity for quite some time and they’ve had to temporarily relocate services following issues.

“There will be some pop-up programming hopefully set up in August and the end of August to try and introduce the new staff, to the area and we are excited to bring some of the great programming that we do here in Timmins to the community of Cochrane.”
