Drugs And Firearms Seized In Hearst

Police have seized roughly $10,000 worth of drugs and firearms in Hearst.

Hearst OPP, the North East Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit performed a search warrant on a residence on Denis Street in Hearst on November 16th.

Officers seized weapons, Canadian cash, as well as meth and cocaine with a combined estimated street value of $10,000.

A 45-year-old Hearst man has been arrested on six charges including two counts of possessing a firearm and one charge of trafficking illegal substances.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Cochrane court on November 26th.
