A power outage that had been scheduled for part of Cochrane yesterday did not occur. The outage had been set for 7am to noon as crews engaged in regular maintenance on the grid; but even as local businesses, churches and private residents prepared to fire up their generators, nothing happened. Our news department is seeking to clarify what happened.
In other news, a portion of Kapuskasing experienced an unexpected power outage during the same time period.
