Northland Power says it has reached a new deal with the IESO for its Iroquois Falls facility. Northland says the new agreement takes aim at cutting emissions by adjusting the way it produces electricity.
The utility company says jobs will not be impacted by the new deal as the facility will now be producing power when its most beneficial to the system, rather than all the time.
The new contact doesn’t expire until 2021.
