If your taking your ATV out for a spin make sure you are following the rules.
OPP Media Officer Stephanie Belec says last year the province had a ten-year high in the number of fatalities from off-road driving at 22.
Belec says there are ways to avoid injuries and worse, such as wearing proper protective gear and knowing the by-laws.
She says you should never operate a vehicle impaired, and should always abide by the rules when driving.
Belec says you should not only abide by the rules of the local community, but also highway traffic laws and you should never operate a vehicle while impaired.
