The South Porcupine OPP detachment has some driving tips after vehicles collided with two moose on Highway 101. The crashes took place last Friday in the Black River-Matheson area within a two hour period after nightfall. Police suggest driving a bit slower especially during low-lighting conditions when it’s harder to see what’s up ahead. Knocking a few kilometres off your speedometer gives you that extra time to brake in case a moose is on the highway. Fortunately no one was hurt in either of last Friday’s crashes.
