Algoma Manitoulin Kapuskasing MP Carol Hughes says violence against women is an ongoing problem in our country. Canada’s 20-year commitment to end violence against women hasn’t put a dent in the issue. She says up to one in four women in our country are subjected to violence over the course of their lives, First Nations and minority women experience this more than most. Hughes has called on all MP’s to work together to create a strategy to end violence against women.
