Following an investigation from the OPP Provincial Standards Bureau, two officers have been arrested and charged. Provincial Constable Kenny Belanger a six year veteran who works out of the Kapuskasing detachment is facing two counts of assault with a weapon. Constable Daniel Lafontaine of the South Porcupine detachment has been charged with two counts of assault. The officers are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kapuskasing, October 31st. Both members have been suspended with pay.
